Ahmedabad City Police and Anant National University have collaborated to combat the growing threat of cybercrime in India by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote cybersecurity awareness and capacity building. The MoU aims to develop a common platform for innovation and research to create a strong, scalable student community network in Ahmedabad, which will act as the future torchbearer of cybersecurity.

As part of the collaboration, the partners plan to conduct cybersecurity awareness programs and hackathons, and provide immersive training and capacity building for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), women innovators, and self-help groups. The collaboration also aims to prevent crime against women and children and foster a culture of open innovation in cybersecurity.

The Ahmedabad City Police has launched the "Cyber Safe Mission" campaign to create awareness among citizens and resolve their complaints related to cybercrime. As a part of the campaign, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, released the "Cyber Safe Girl" book, which guides women in the state on cybersecurity.

The collaboration between Ahmedabad City Police and Anant National University is a step towards building a secure digital future for India. The partners aim to create a human resource of trained youth in cybersecurity to combat the growing threat of cybercrime. The MoU will promote a culture of innovation and research to prevent security breaches and strengthen cybersecurity in Ahmedabad and beyond
