In a significant step towards bolstering cybersecurity, Odisha witnessed a momentous occasion on September 5, 2023, as Shri Sunil Kumar Bansal, IPS, DGP Odisha, inaugurated the state's cutting-edge 1930 Cyber Crime Help Line Call Centre & Cyber Help Desk at the Cyber Complex in Bhubaneswar. This milestone initiative, supported by the Ministry of Home Affairs' I4C, aims to combat cybercrime effectively. Additionally, the Cyber Crime Unit of the Crime Branch introduced several other vital components to enhance its capabilities.
Step 1: The Inauguration of the 1930 Cyber Crime Help Line Call Centre
- On September 5, 2023, the 1930 Cyber Crime Help Line Call Centre became operational.

2.1 Children & Women Online Abuse Monitoring Unit (CWOAMU)

2.2 Cyber Investigation Support Team (CIST)
- CIST provides real-time support to Investigating Officers during cybercrime investigations.

2.3 Cyber Monitoring & Coordination (M &C) Unit
- The M &C Unit plays a critical role in blocking SIM/IMEI of cyber fraudsters.

2.4 Cyber Training Unit
- The Cyber Training Unit conducts year-round training to equip personnel with the skills needed to combat cybercrime effectively.
