Recover Your Stolen Smartphone Easily with These 3 Essential Settings
With the increasing number of smartphone thefts at railway stations, securing your device has become more critical than ever. If your phone gets stolen, you can increase the chances of retrieving it by enabling these 3 essential settings:
1. Set a Password to Power Off Your Phone:
Go to Settings → Security & Privacy → More Security & Privacy → Turn on the Require Password to Switch Off toggle. This setting prevents thieves from turning off your phone easily, as they will need to enter the password first.
2. Change Lock Screen Notifications Settings:
Disable the option to Swipe Down on Lock Screen to View Notification Drawer by going to Lock Screen Notifications. This will block access to the control center from the lock screen, preventing the thief from putting the phone in Airplane Mode, making it easier to track.
3. Enable Find My Device:
Activate the Find My Device feature in your phone settings. This will allow you to track your phone even if the thief removes the SIM card.
By enabling these 3 settings, you can make your device more secure and increase the chances of recovering it in case it gets stolen.
