Who Can Apply?
The program welcomes students from diverse academic backgrounds pursuing:
- Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), or PhD degrees in fields such as:
- Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Science and Engineering
- Electrical & Electronic Communication Engineering
- Cyber Security, Information Security, Cyber Forensics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Analytics
- LLB, LLM, Criminology, or Sociology
- Any other area related to cyberspace, technology, or cybercrime
Eligibility is limited to students from top-ranking institutions as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023, including the Top 200 Engineering Institutes, Top 30 Law Universities/Institutes, and 165 Institutes of National Importance.
Program Details
Duration:
- UG and PG students: 2 months
- PhD students: 4 months
Intake:
- Summer Internship (April–September): 25 UG, 15 PG, 10 PhD interns
- Winter Internship (October–March): Same numbers as above
Total: 100 interns annually
Venues:
- I4C headquarters in New Delhi, National Cyber Forensic Laboratory (NCFL) in Dwarka, Shivaji Stadium, and seven Joint Cybercrime Coordination Teams (JCCTs) across states/UTs.
Stipend:
- UG: ₹6,000/month
- PG: ₹10,000/month
- PhD: ₹20,000/month

What to Expect as an Intern
Interns will work under expert supervisors, engage in projects aligned with I4C’s mission, and attend daily sessions (with attendance tracked).
